Stevensbooks is one of the most established single book stores in the United States, serving its customers for over 50 years with half a million titles on various subjects.

Our store occupies a 39,000 sq ft space with all books in good and gently-used condition.

North Carolina Store

Richard Stevens began Stevensbooks in 1954 with a few used books on a card table in Wake Forest, N.C.

Soon after, Stevens’ collection began to serve as a library for students in the area as well as a book store for the rest of the town.

Mr. Stevens continued adding new books to the collection, which quickly grew to several thousand and made the store a recognized source of literature in the region.

In 1970, Mr. Stevens moved the store to its Raleigh location where it continues to serve thousands of patrons.
