Matt lives in Montreal, where he makes books and designs for animation.
His latest book is called Mina - and it's out now.
His first authored picture book, Pokko and the Drum, was a Publishers Weekly and NPR Book of the Year and won a Boston Globe / Horn Book Honor and Charlotte Zolotow Honor.
He has lived and worked in Dublin, London, Seoul, and Los Angeles. His first comic, Ojingogo, was nominated for two Eisner awards and won a Doug Wright Award for Best Experimental Comic.
He was the Lead Designer on the animated series, Adventure Time at Cartoon Network and Designer of Robin Robin - a stop-motion animated film starring Gillian Anderson and Richard E. Grant.
His favourite food is probably japchae.
