Neil Butterworth

Neil Butterworth is the past Chair of the Department of Napier University in edinburgh, Scotland. He is the author of The American Symphony, A Dictionary of American Composers (Garland, 1984), The Music of Aaron Copland, and ten other books. He is also a recognized composer with over 300 compositions to his credit.
