Hi, I’m Ruth Miller. I’m a quirky, artistic sort of person. I love cats and the Bible and count among my many blessings my husband, three children, and eight grandchildren. My cat, Lu Lu, loves to hang around while I write and draw but unfortunately always drapes her big, fluffy tail right in the way! Move over, Lu Lu! I’ve got way too much excess creativity and imagination, which makes me tend to find unusual perspectives in ordinary events. However, I’ve discovered I can use that talent to make people think about God and the Bible in new ways. Most recently, I’ve begun writing and illustrating a series of short, easy-to-read children’s books about the life of Jesus. The twist is that they’re told from the viewpoint of animals who were observing. All children love animals, so this is perfect for getting them listening and holding their attention. Not only are they great just to read in your living room, but they would work well for a children’s bible study or a class at church too. For adults, I’ve written a verse-by-verse study of the Gospel of John and an ever-growing collection of short devotionals called “Ruth’s Ramblings.”
