I am the author of nineteen books including my latest: If Einstein Ran The Schools: Revitalizing U.S. Education (Praeger).

My other books include, Mindfulness in the Classroom, Smarts! I've taught at several San Francisco Bay Area graduate schools including the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, and the California Institute of Integral Studies. I have written for Ladies Home Journal, Family Circle, Parenting (where I was a regularly featured columnist) and many other journals and periodicals. I have appeared on The Today Show, CBS This Morning, CNN, the BBC, and The Voice of America. Articles featuring my work have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, Investor's Business Daily, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, and hundreds of other magazines and newspapers.

I have given over 1000 keynotes, workshops, and lectures in 44 states and 29 countries. My clients have included Sesame Street, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Republic of Singapore, Hasbro Toys, and the European Council of International Schools. I've written a novel about the disappearance of childhood.
