A Stone in My Sandal

Paperback |English |0473504073 | 9780473504076
Overview

In the first "I Am Beryl" book, "In the Beginning", Beryl showed us a unique perspective of Creation and the Throne Room of Heaven. In this new Beryl story, we are taken on an unforgettable journey with Moses & Beryl, from Egypt to the Tzin desert.

The ancient story of Moses and the times of the Pharaohs comes alive. Life in Egypt is as vivid as the aroma of the spice markets.

Going to the very heart of the vast struggle in our lives that threatens to unseat our place of righteousness in Jesus, magnificent storyteller Justine Orme, has a unique way of expressing how the natural is overlaid by the supernatural, giving understanding and knowledge of the spiritual realm.

Just as many readers found the first Beryl book difficult to put down, Book Two - A Stone in My Sandal, continues Beryl's captivating and dramatic adventures, this time on earth with Mankind.

Editorial Reviews

I was so captivated with the glorious ways of God, and with Moshe being in His marvellous presence.

Even though I have read this story in the Bible many times before, my heart was wrenched at how quickly we put other gods before Our Father, and we all do it. It touched my soul deeply.

Expertly written, every detail superb, very captivating, one can see and feel the revelation of the Holy Spirit as it reveals every point and part Justine has been given, to write and portray the very essence of God. The vital role the angels play in our lives that we are unaware of.

How important your role has become, Justine.

This is not just another story, but one of exquisite insight. Never has a book touched me so deeply, or brought so many tears and challenged me in such a way.

Janice Tutaki, Hamilton, NZ

Justine has a creative way of bringing alive the message of God through Beryl's adventures. Beryl continues on, in an awe-inspiring journey with Moses. His close relationship with God leaves one hungering for the same. The details are so intriguing. Every chapter kept drawing me in, wanting me to go on and read more. As always, well written. Bless you, Justine!

This book goes beyond a well-written, suspenseful novel.

It is a beautiful story that takes the reader from the throne room of God and His Angels to journeying with Moses and experiencing his struggles, trials and triumphs.

It reveals the very real battle in the Spiritual Realm for mankind and shows us that truly, our God is faithful and loves His people.

Susan Westbury, Rangiora, New Zealand

---""---

Justine has captured the humanity of Moses. We see Moses' feeling of inadequacy in himself, as God tells him to lead the children of Israel into the promised land. We see Moses' tears and grief as he goes into the presence of God and intercedes for the People, even as they continuously disobey God, unable to recognise His protection and provision throughout their journey. We see Moses' frustration, as he himself disobeyed God in the hitting of the rock. Narrated by Beryl, the stone in Moses' ring, given to him by his Egyptian mother, Beryl finds himself isolated on earth, away from the throne room of Heaven, the only home he has ever known, and how he watches Man's interaction on earth, unaware of the supernatural beings surrounding and guiding them.

I have felt with Beryl, as he has taken me on this journey through the wilderness together with Man and the angelic realm, although man, of course, is unable to see the supernatural realm all around him.

A book worth reading.

Carolyn King, Henderson, Auckland, New Zealand
