Christianity is not a religion

Paperback |English |1492305391 | 9781492305392
Overview

Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is "Christ in us," because Jesus Christ comes into us and dwells in us when we accept Him into our lives. And by Christianity, I mean, establishing a relationship with, and having fellowship with Jesus Christ --- that is, in case Christianity means other things to other people. Jesus Christ did not call His followers Christians nor did His apostles and disciples call themselves that. But in the world today, we are known as Christians and we are proud to be; and our faith in Christ is known as Christianity, because we believe in Jesus Christ. And by coming to Jesus Christ, we receive life. He said to the Pharisees, "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." (John 5:39-40). Christianity is LIFE, because Jesus Christ is Life and comes to live in us when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. And He told us in the Bible "I come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly." So when you come to Christ, you've come to LIFE. And you'll have life more abundantly. How then did we get from life to religion? Just like the Israelites before us, we took the perfect gift of God and turned it into man-made activities, designed more to gain glory for ourselves than to give glory to God. No wonder the world is getting darker and darker. Religion is not about God. Religion is an attempt to imitate God.

It is by the power of God through faith in His Son Jesus Christ that this book was written. I have been on a spiritual journey for most of my adult life, trying to figure out who I am and why I am the way I am. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. After working for several years in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry, I got into private business ventures and am currently an internet business entrepreneur. I have always been willing to acquire knowledge and for a long time thought it was all I needed to succeed in life. Then I stepped into the world of manufacturing and business, hoping to make a fortune because I have acquired what I thought was good amount of vital knowledge. But success proved to be elusive. Venture after venture and failure after failure, I stopped many times to figure out what I was doing wrong. Yet I found no answers that made sense. When I listen to successful business people on the news who have made it in business, I say to myself, "You have done that too, but you did have the same success." Finally through my struggles to have a business success, I realized that there is more to life than wealth, and that I have not set my priorities right. Even though, I have been conscientious in dealing with others and I've held God in High regards in my life, I have failed to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I have always acknowledged His involvement in my life but I have not always placed Him first in my life, nor have I made Him my exclusive source for everything. I, therefore, turn my attention to discovering God's Will for me and learning how to walk daily with Christ. And everything began to come together in my life. I began to trust my spirit and follow its directions. Writing this book has been a life-changing journey. It has brought me closer to God than anything I have done in my entire life. I have come to the place I need to be, in Jesus Christ and with Jesus Christ, and I thank God for all His goodness to me. It is with great humility and reverence to God that I worked on this book. I came away from the experience totally humbled by how readily our great God responds to those who call on Him. I knew I wanted to do the project and knew I needed God's guide and direction and was hoping for some revelations. But He gave me more than I had hoped for and through the whole experience I realized that when God gives, He pours it on, and I am forever thankful to Him for all His goodness to me.
