Overview

English Summary: About half a century after Karl Barth's death, Michael Weinrich examines Barth's theology and proves that it is still relevant today. In his studies on Barth's work, Weinrich focuses on Barth's idea of modesty and his emphasis on the concentration on God's word that were essential to Barth's theology.

Editorial Reviews

"Weinrich is a masterful interpreter of Barth's work, engaging him, perhaps, more thoroughly and insightfully than many others. ...each essay is a careful view of the Bible, the Doctrine of Christ, Grace and the Theological Declaration of Barmen, the continuation of the impulses of the Reformation in his theology, and the Church." -- Jim West, Zwinglius Redivivus
