So You Love a Prodigal: What You Can't Do, What You Can Do, Why You Can't Quit: Companion Workbook

Paperback |English |1542915686 | 9781542915687
Overview
This Workbook is intended to supplement the So You Love a Prodigal book. By reading the corresponding chapter in the book before answering the questions in the Workbook, you will better understand the questions and will be able to apply them to your own situation. All the Workbook questions are "open ended," meaning they will ask you to think about and then write your answer in the spaces provided. On those questions for which you might answer with a simple "Yes" or "No," you are asked to either detail or explain your answer.

The Workbook can be used individually or as a group study. If used in a group setting, members could discuss only the "take away" question, which is the last one for each Workbook chapter.

Group members could then be open and honest when answering the questions but not feel the need to share personal or sensitive answers with the group. The "take away" answers will help people share what they learned, looked at differently, or decided to apply in their lives.

ABOUT SO YOU LOVE A PRODIGAL

Where are the prodigals we love, and when will they come home?

Too many of us know the pain and despair of loving a prodigal. In So You Love a Prodigal, author and poet Rita Aiken Moritz meets the readers where they are in their brokenness and walks with them through the heartbreak of loving a prodigal. With a conversational approach, she dares to address questions such as, "Why my family?" and "Who's to blame?"

Encouragement, hope, and a call to action are the central themes of So You Love a Prodigal. Readers are assured with simple words and Biblical examples that God is still in control, their story isn't finished, and they are not alone.

What people are saying about So You Love a Prodigal

"You'll connect with Rita's open and honest conversation. You'll feel like she knows you, almost as if she's been where you are. She doesn't sugarcoat anything. She presents the good news that God loves, saves, forgives, and redeems-over and over again. These pages are filled with biblical truth and stories that will break your heart and then open it to God's healing." David Bennett Managing Editor, HomeLife Magazine

"[Rita has] a wealth of personal experience, has gathered information from others in similar situations and is willing to share her treasure with the rest of us I'm already thinking of all the people in my life who will benefit from reading it." Jennifer Davis Rash Editor-elect, The Alabama Baptist So You Love a Prodigal is that book you read and easily find yourself identifying with many of the characters. Find your story in this amazing narrative by Rita." Yvette Maher Former Senior VP, "Focus on the Family" "Wally and I always loved the beauty of Rita's words, and this book is the perfect example of what we loved about them. In her positive, upbeat way, Rita walks the reader through the despair and heartbreak of loving a prodigal and into the confidence that God knows what He's doing." Mrs. Walter S. Beebe Beebe Publications "I highly recommend So You Love a Prodigal to anyone who loves a prodigal, loves someone who loves a prodigal, is a prodigal or once was a prodigal. In its pages, you will find the encouragement, candor and courage to love prodigals and those who love them while loving yourself." Dr. Robert Smith Jr. Charles T.
