The proximity of the province of Ulster to Scotland has resulted in a lively confluence of peoples, ideas and cultures for many centuries. This has been recorded in an abundance of texts that express Ulster's complex and dynamic relationship with Scotland. This anthology of Ulster-Scots writing charts the breadth and diversity of Scottish influences upon Ulster writing from the 17th century to the present day.
